“There is no benefit when music stands secret and hidden.” — Lucian

Learn how to play all the seven songs of Lina Palera’s debut lyre album, titled AURORA!

Songs’ list: Syzygy ✦ Une Mélodie d’Alger ✦ Adonis ✦ Beam of light ✦ Siren’s Call ✦ Nyx ✦ Ethereal Dance

“My first album was inspired by the Aurora, the goddess of the dawn in Greek mythology,” says Lina Palera, a world-renowned lyre player and much-beloved lyre instructor at the LyreAcademy.com. “She is the sacred wanderer who travels from the east to the west, announcing the coming of the sun. On her, the great Homer lavishes his most beautiful epithets such as ‘rosy-fingered’ and ‘saffron-cloaked.’ She is the sister of Sun and Moon, the mother of Morning Star. This album is dedicated to her; to the dawn, the messenger, the guide, the traveler, the crier of the light.”

In this book, you will find demanding original melodies, ideal for anyone willing to take the next step and exercise on advanced songs for the ancient lyre and the ancient kithara.

“This Sheet Music Book is our latest addition to our effort to enrich the available educational resources for lyre and lyre-like musical instruments,” Nikolaos Koumartzis, the series’ director, explains.

The book is part of the Lyre Sheet Music series, in which some of the greatest lyre players around the world participate, including Thanasis Kleopas, Michael Levy, Theodore Koumartzis, Giorgio Sancristoforo, et cetera.
